The VORTEX is a groundbreaking air-cooled condenser that allows you to operate anywhere without the constraints of cooling water, without sacrificing time or quality, and saving hundreds of litres of water per run. Complete with two VORTEX Air Cooled Condenser modules, CREATE+ 2" modular components, and connecting tri-clamps and gaskets, the VORTEX Reflux Equipment Kit allows you to run your reflux stup without any additional cooling water needed.
A 2-in-1 equipment kit, the components in this kit can also be reconfigured to support water-free alembic distillation.
The VORTEX Air Cooled condenser utilises forced air to dissipate heat from vapour and liquid and can be used in place of a water-cooled condensers and dephlegmators. A simple turn of a dial controls fan speed and cooling temperatures instantly and puts precision in your hands at every stage.
INSTRUCTIONS: Assemble the CREATE+ modular components with the VORTEX Air Cooled Condenser modules per the instructions. Attach to your boiler (sold separately) and connect to power.
As vapour or liquid move through the two internal tubes of the condenser, the aluminium fins absorb the heat, which is then dispersed by the three integrated air fans. The speed of the fans can be increased or decreased with the control dial to control the heat dissipation rate, like adjusting the water flow of traditional water-cooled condensers.
CLEANING AFTER USE: To clean, you can use a household vacuum cleaner to remove dust that may collect in the fan grill and the finned tubes over time. To clean inside the product pathway, conduct a distillation run of equal parts white vinegar and drinking water.
CAUTION: Metal fins can have sharp edges. Use care when handling, assembling, cleaning, or storing this unit, and avoid running fingers along the fin surface.

The Distillation Kit includes stainless Steel 2200 watt （2 X1100w） Boiler , faucet adapter for ease of water flow adjustment, boil dry reset, thermal cut out fuse and waste discharge tap.
Dual elements allow for finer control over the heating process. You can use both elements for rapid heat-up and then switch to a single element or cycle them for more precise temperature management during the run.

NOTE: The Still Spirits Boiler Lid and Alembic Dome are designed primarily for small to medium-sized distilling setups that do not have heavy, off-centre attachments. The lid and dome are reasonably flexible and sturdy enough to fit components that are within the following specifications:
• A total column & condenser height up to 1.1 m (3.6 ft) from the lid or dome.
• A total column & condenser weight up to 11 kg (24 lbs), including up to 2 kg (4.4 lbs) of off-centre weight from a swan neck, lyne arm, or condenser running in parallel with the column and offset up to 160 mm (6”) to the main column.
We recommend external support if:
• Your column & condenser exceed the above specifications.
• The lyne arm is not vertical but angled or perpendicular, running away from the column, resulting in significantly distant off-centre weight.
• If the column & condenser are noticeably leaning.

Is it legal to use a still in Australia?
In Australia you can use a still of up to 5lt capacity without a distiller’s license for either water purification or essential oil extraction.
Please note: You must have a license to produce alcohol using a still more than 5 Litres in Australia.
It is not legal to separate water and alcohol via distillation in a still without a permit.
