The Bruer® Double Wall Glasses set allows you to easily pick up a hot beverage knowing that the outside is cool to touch. Whether hot or cold, the Bruer® Cool Touch Glass set will keep whatever you are drinking, or eating, at the temperature you intend for longer. Made from high quality borosilicate glass for greater clarity and ability to cope with high and low temperatures.
Features:
Borosilicate glass is a type of glass that contains boron trioxide. This gives it a number of advantages over other types of glass, including:
- High thermal shock resistance: Borosilicate glass is much more resistant to thermal shock than other types of glass. This means that it can withstand sudden changes in temperature without cracking or breaking.
- High strength: Borosilicate glass is also much stronger than other types of glass. This makes it more resistant to breakage from impact or dropping. It is resistant to scratches and chips, making it a long-lasting choice for glassware. The double wall design adds an extra layer of protection, reducing the risk of breakage.
- Chemical resistance: Borosilicate glass is also more resistant to chemicals than other types of glass. This makes it ideal for use in laboratories and other environments where it may come into contact with harsh chemicals.
- Transparency: Borosilicate glass is also very transparent, which makes it ideal for use in applications where clarity is important. The double wall construction helps prevent condensation from forming on the outer surface of the glass when cold beverages are served. This eliminates the need for coasters and prevents moisture from damaging tabletops or creating a mess.
- Low thermal expansion: Borosilicate glass has a low coefficient of thermal expansion. This means that it expands and contracts less than other types of glass when heated or cooled. This makes it less likely to crack or break when exposed to extreme temperatures.
- Excellent Insulation: The double wall construction creates an insulating layer of air between the inner and outer walls of the glass. This design helps to keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold for longer periods of time compared to regular glasses. The insulation also ensures that the outer surface of the glass remains cool to the touch even when the liquid inside is hot.
- Versatility: Double wall borosilicate glasses are versatile and can be used for a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cocktails, and juices. They can also be used for serving desserts, soups, or appetizers. The double wall design adds an aesthetic appeal to the presentation of drinks and food, making them ideal for entertaining guests or for special occasions.
- Safety: Borosilicate glass is non-toxic and BPA-free, ensuring that no harmful chemicals leach into your drinks.
Overall, borosilicate glass is a very versatile and durable type of glass. It is ideal for use in a wide variety of applications, including laboratories, kitchens, and homes.
