A 5-gallon carboy is a large, durable container typically used in the homebrewing and winemaking processes for fermenting beverages. Made from either glass or food-grade plastic, this carboy features a narrow neck that allows for the attachment of an airlock, which is crucial for controlling the fermentation process by letting carbon dioxide escape while preventing contaminants from entering. The sizeable 5-gallon capacity makes it ideal for producing significant batches of beer, wine, cider, or other fermented drinks. Its transparent body enables easy monitoring of the fermentation process, and its sturdy construction ensures longevity and resistance to pressure. Whether for amateurs or seasoned brewers, a 5-gallon carboy is an essential tool for crafting high-quality homemade beverages.

The 5 Gallon Glass Carboy kit comes with a bored Silicone Bung with Air Lock which can be used for wine/mead fermentation.
And this kit also comes with a solid bung for storage of wine/ spirits and more.
